Our well respected recreational program is designed for dancers who might be taking dance for the first time or dancers who have been dancing since they were two. Our recreation classes are structured classes that focus on teaching correct technique and terminology while having fun along the way. We offer a wide range of classes. Studio Policies and Procedure

Year Round Classes Versus 6 Week Session

Performance

Year Round: Our year long classes participate in our annual recital in June.  

6 Week Session: 6 week classes do not have a formal performance. 

Length

Year Round: Dance year starts in August and goes through recital in June.

6 Week Session: Each session is 6 weeks long. We have four sessions throughout our dance year. Starting in August, October, January, March, and June.

Price

Year Round: There is an annual registration fee of $40 per family when you enroll. Tuition is $70 per month for one class a week. If you enroll in automatic withdrawal tuition is $65.

6 Week Session: It is $95 per session or $65 for Tiny 2’s.

Class Time

Year Round: Students come once a week for a 50 minute class. Tiny 2’s come once a week for a 25 minute class.

6 Week Session: Students come once a week for 6 weeks for a 50 minute class. Tiny 2’s come once a week for 6 weeks for a 25 minute class.

Instruction

Year Round: Year round classes are structured classes focusing on correct technique and terminology. Students learn dance routines for our annual recital in June.

6 Week Session:  6 week sessions are an introduction to dance. This is a good class to start if you are unsure about a committment to a year long class.

Class Descriptions

Tiny 2’s

Children in this class are introduced to song and dance in a relaxed and fun environment. In this class creative movement and imagination are encouraged for the dancer to explore the world of movement.

Pre-School Combo

Dancers will be exposed to basic movement in tap, ballet, jazz and tumbling. This upbeat structured class introduces correct technique and terminology. Dancers are taught self-confidence, balance, strength and body awareness.

Dance Combo

This is an excellent class to introduce skills in tap, ballet and jazz. Dancers will focus on learning correct technique and terminology in a fun and comfortable atmosphere. This class will improve self-confidence, balance, strength and body awareness.

Dance Fusion

This class is designed for the dancer who wants to have fun with movement and choreography. Musicality, body rhythms and dance techniques will be integrated into this exciting class that incorporates jazz, lyrical and hip hop.

Hip Hop / Jazz / Pom

This class teaches hip hop fundamentals in an age-appropriate manner. Jazz technique and cominations make this an engaging and high energy class. Dancers will learn precision pom technique.

Ballet Combo

This class will be an excellent introduction to ballet and lyrical technique. Students in each level will be learning the technique and terminology both in center and at the barre. This class will help improve self-confidence, balance, flexibility and correct body placement.

Technique

These classes are designed to build strength, flexibility and refine movement quality. Focusing on correct body placement and alignment. Technique is the basis of all fundamentals of dance.

Adult Tap / Stretch

Tappers will love this high energy class. If you love tap now is the time! It is a great exercise and a lot of fun. Tap technique and terminology will be taught.

Acro Dance

A class forcused on building core strength, acrobatics, contortions and tumbling. This class helps students with body awareness and stamina in their dance training. Jazz and hip hop technique and combinations make this an engaging, high energy class.
